The New Glaze Collection is here!

After seeing the waste from commercial glaze bottles, I committed to a more sustainable process. Over the last several months, I learned to create custom glazes from raw materials, eliminating plastic packaging and reducing waste.

The result? Vibrant, eco-friendly glazes that bring life to every piece of pottery. I’ve chosen six of my favorite colors—each inspired by my time living in the USVI, my happy place.

THOUGHTFULLY MADE BY HAND

ONE OF A KIND

Handmade items carry an energy and authenticity that machines simply cannot replicate. Each vessel I create holds its own unique character, with subtle variations that make every piece slightly different.

When preparing my clay, I sprinkle in a special ingredient called manganese that creates subtle beauty spots I call freckles.

These tiny specks remain hidden until their final journey through the kiln, where the piece’s true 'face' is revealed. I think they add character and individuality, further ensuring that no two creations are ever the same.

Meet the maker, Jess Keene

I'm a product designer with over 20 years of experience working with some of the largest companies in the world & a passion for working with clay. After years of generating ideas for others, I find joy in creating for myself.  I love seeing my ideas come to life by my own hands, energizing them in a way that can’t be done with machines. I’m proud to use sustainable methods in my studio keeping my carbon footprint light & aim to create pieces that inspire positivity.
